1. I updated
I updated both my iPad2 and my iPhone4 last night and it took freakin' forever! Over two hours to update my laptop's OSX and iTunes and the phone. I don't know if my internet was slow last night for some reason, or if this is taking a long time with everyone.

I started the iPad update and went to bed and finished it this morning (there are some settings you need to deal with for the new iOS). Aside from the time factor I had no issues with the update, but it took a ridiculously long time.

2. Thanks romana. The update to 10.5 on my laptop took about an hour. I've heard that some iPad
updates have taken up to 17 hours. I'll wait until this weekend to do mine.

:hi:

3. I updated two iPads so far. It was quick enough, maybe an hour, but it caused issues on ......
..... the iPad 2. The older iPad did fine. The 2 won't sync properly with iTunes anymore. The problem is with PDFs in iBook. It won't update them as I want to add or remove files. Also, it keeps telling me I have apps that haven't been backed up to iTunes. I click okay to allow to do the backup. It does something but then asks the same damned question again.

5. Let's just put it this way
I am waiting until tomorrow to do the iPod. The pad took close to an hour.

Still happy to be home.

6. Those who tried to update the first day experienced long downloads.
OSX downloads were showing 8 hours. There was some confusion with upgrading iOS5, but it all worked out. When the upgrade was complete, there were no third party apps on my iPad, but a sync restored them.

I like the split keyboard, the new iTunes, and messaging.

7. Did my first iCloud backup. It took twenty five hours. I miss the tile feature.

15. you can change it back. Just squeeze the two parts.
After two days, I found the new keyboard priceless and great. But for those first two days, it was a pain in my nether parts.

11. Found a workaround. Copy the image, paste in Notes, then copy the text
It will work.
