Outgoing .mac mail problem -- or is it just me?
"sending message to contact server failed"

I'm getting incoming, but this has been going on since last night.

Help suggested changing server in the Account, but it's not permitting me to type in any change. (Not that I'm sure what I'd be doing, anyway.)

Any suggestions? I know mac mail (or at least mobile me) is coming to an end, not sure if this is a result of that or some other problem.

Thanks!

1. I wish I knew the answer
My biggest complaint with my Macs is the Apple Mail client. Sending an email is usually easy enough and works as it should. but every now and again it forgets passwords, servers, even mail accounts. A restart has always fixed it, although more than one restart is, on occasion, needed. I still have Apple Care and try as they might, the tech support people can't fix things.

2. Thanks, Stinky -- I did restart it and lo and behold I'm up
and running again. Could have been the same problem you experience at times. I have so FEW problems with my Mac, that when one occurs, I think it's the end of the world! :7 :hi:

3. Mac users have to redraft so infrequently that they forget that
Plists etc. Need to be rebuilt every now and again.

Usually a restart will do it.
