iCloud help needed
Okay, I'm afraid of iCloud.

When I look into moving there from MobileMe, it seems to me that it will disable my MobileMe account(s), cause my Back To My iDevices not to work, will screw up my published calendars, and cause dandruff on my bald head.

Can I have both MobileMe and iCloud until I make the transition and MobileMe goes away?

I own a five seat family pack of MobileMe. Each of use one seat, Sparkly uses one for her company, and we use for our company. Four of us share the company account simply by all knowing the password. We also use the calendar app, one calendar for each of us, and publish them so they show on all our iCals on our devices, with all our schedules.

Can I do all this with iCloud? If I can, how?

1. You can use both at the same time until June

It appears that MobileMe was split in two with iCloud controlling iCal, Address book, Mail, Find my iPhone and iWork.

What's left in MobileMe? Gallery, iDisk and iWeb which all disappear in June. I no longer have an iWeb account cause I erased my domain about a year ago BUT I went to my account features and noticed that I can still open a domain for iWeb if I want to.

I still use iDisk daily for school and all I have to do is sign under MobileMe like before. Then, If I need to send mail I use iCloud BUT, if I am in MobileMe's platform there is an arrow taking you directly to iCloud for mail.

I was concerned when I started iCloud but if you follow the screen instructions it will be all right. Your computer info (iCal, Address, etc) was not affected in my case. My main concern was duplicate entries but it did not happen. As a matter of fact, I always had issues sync my address book et al. but since iCloud everything has run flawlessly. So far no conflicts synchronizing my iCal or addresses.

I hope I didn't confuse you more!

2. Thanks!
You didn't confuse me. Instead, you reassured me.

I may head on over to the Apple Store and get a genius at the genius bar to walk me through this.

We depend mightily on that iDisk! We have all our project data up there. Sure, it also exists on our computers, but on iDisk we avoid the endless coordination we had to do previously.
