Ok, I bought a toaster oven

Since natural gas prices are going to go up this winter, I decided to buy a toaster oven so I don't have to turn on the oven just to cook some chicken nuggets and tater tots. I found a cheap one -- on sale for $20 at KMart. I figure that puppy will save me more than $20 in gas!

1. Toaster ovens are a great alternative for small batch cooking

When my mother was living alone, she even tried some baking in it ... with a fair degree of success. I know she used it pretty much every day ... at the least for toast in the morning.

I used it all of the time. $20 is a good deal - I may have to stop at Kmart on the way home today!!

4. I use mine here in the desert all summer long. I hate heating the oven

when it's 110 outside.
