What's your favorite kwacker?

I love these. They're often on sale and we pick up quite a few boxes of the various flavors of these and Wheat Thins. But of the lot of them, Triscuit Garden Herb are far and away my favorites. I have been known to eat a whole box of 'em for lunch.

1. I have a funny story about that

I thought MrK loved Wheat Thins and he thought I did

so we have a ton of wheat thins but no Triscuits which is BOTH of our favorites

so, no more wheat thins, it's Triscuits from now on out

I am also know to enjoy a Ritz with cheese and MrK's favorite midnight snack is plain old Saltines with peanut butter and grape jelly.

I don't dare buy any Nutella or there wouldn't be enough saltines on the planet for him......

4. mmmmmm....triscuits.....

No matter what kind of snobby, uppercrusty gourmet crackers I pick to go on a cheese and fruit platter (our favorite lazy night meal, bottle of vino to go with), the Triscuits ALWAYS have a spot. I don't think we've tried the garden herb (usually go for original or roasted garlic), but I think I need to try them.....

I find the garden herb to be weird.

Although for a while you could get a rye triscuit and I kinda liked those.

7. I'm not into "cutifying" any kind of name, so I just eat crackers.

I don't even speak "baby talk" to babies; I think it's rude to the baby.

But yes, Triscuits are wonderful - I love the roasted garlic ones.

12. Do matzoh count?

Because the olive oil, rosemary and sea salt ones are what I eat with cheese. I like the egg n onion ones too, but if I have to pick, it's the olive oil and rosemary ones.

Jacob's Cream crackers or water biscuits will do in a pinch.

Triscuits cut the roof of my mouth something awful; I have a very pronounced torus. Love the taste, but the pain is not worth the taste.

The one in your picture. Triscuits, the original. Every single Triscuit used to be made in Oaktown, but I loved them before I lived here.

16. I'm a Ritz kinda gal

But I've noticed that in recent years, they crumble too easily. So I switched to Zips, the bargain brand, since they snap without going to crumbly dust. I love cream cheese and chive spread on Zips.

Your posting reminded me of another cracker we used to get when I was a kid. I can't recall the name but it's a paper thin Scandinavian cracker. They come in a stack packaged in a paper wrapper. You have to slide them out individually. Does this ring a bell? I like them with sardines. They're so super thin that they don't interfere with the flavor of the cheese or whatever you serve on them. Only problem is that they break easily. I still love them. Now I have to put them on my shopping list as we're all out.

One last one - I love Roberto brand bread sticks. They're the skinny ones.

21. I just returned from shopping and brought home some of these

I picked up both the Italian and Mediterranean Toast. Drenched with flavor and not very low in calories. Wowee, they're good!
