Anybody bbq'ing today ?
I found some reduced for quick sale spare ribs this morning at HEB. On Sunday mornings I get there about 6:30 or 7:00 and scoop up on a lot of half priced items that they have reduced. The date shows they will go bad in 2 or 3 days so I usually freeze whatever I buy immediately. As long as I use it the same day I take it out of the freezer it's fine. This morning I got 2 racks of spare ribs for 8.50. I was thinking about doing one out on the pit and one in the crock pot.

3. I think I might grill something
We're having a break in the constant rain. It'll be back tomorrow night. :(

I got some game hens on sale yesterday, and I think I'll throw half of one on the Smokey Joe. I am soooooo sick of winter!

4. I was starting to plan some bbq chicken
We lost power this morning and I thought I'd need to cut up the chick and bbq it outdoors. Now that power is on it still might work if the winds don't kick up again. We had a heck of a windstorm late morning.

9. Too windy.
we have a front moving in, and the winds are running about 25 MPH, with gusts up to 50. It's picking up dirt and sandblasting everything.

Would love to, though. I've got a couple of pork loins that would BBQ up nicely.

14. Will do.... I juiced the last of mine and froze the juice
and kept the zest. It's dried now, but a bit stronger.

I've been eyeing that sauce for chicken, but it would be lovely on the pork.

15. Late to the party, but we did grill some nice steaks bought on
sale at HEB. Thanks for that Sunday a.m. HEB tip, BTW. I never knew that was a good time to check out the markdowns. Will do, especially with the price of beef and ribs lately.
