Did you see the colored Easter eggs at the grocery?

First year my store has them. I'll do my own for fun - but I was tempted for a minute.

2. I like the cold hard boiled eggs with ham after Easter

A great breakfast. Slices of cold ham, hard boiled eggs, potato salad and rye bread. Oh - and HOT COFFEE!

3. Mine sells eggs from free range, local chickens

The colors range from a pale turquoise through tan and several browns, as well as Leghorn white.

Dyeing those eggs would be gilding the lily. They're just beautiful in their natural state.

4. I love those naturally colorful eggs

A guy I used to work with raised chickens, turkeys and buffalo. His chickens were the kind that laid pale pastel colored eggs. They were so lovely and tasted great.

His turkeys were fed with natural feed and they were fabulous, too. I've never had such good turkeys since he quit his operation.

You made me remember that I have a box of natural eggs (blown out, of course) tucked away somewhere. They ARE beautiful. Aqua, shades of green and brown, etc. Now, where did I put them??
