What's for supper? (9/7)

The boys have dance class after school. It is a 40 minute drive back to our house, and they will still have to do their homework, so I think we will grab something on the road. I love to hear what you folks are eating so let's hear it, what will you have tonight?

3. yes, I'm fine-- thank you for asking....

I'm a bit worn out today-- Thursday is my longest day, I start about 7:00 AM and don't finish until about 7:00 PM most Thursdays, and am in class or at meetings all day except 11-1 (right now, LOL). Then I'm taking one of my classes on a field trip Fri-Sun, and have to prep for it tonight after everything else is finished. This is one of those days when I eat on the run, and cooking is out of the question. Hmm, caffeine would be good-- I think I'm gonna go find some. :hi:

4. Poached salmon

fingerling potatoes roasted in olive oil with garlic, green market salad with fresh romaine and red leaf lettuce, yellow and red cherry tomatoes, onion, and cucumber. Sweet corn on the cob, steamed. Nothing for dessert. I made a chocolate-peanut butter cheesecake yesterday and decorated it like a giant Reese's peanut butter cup then sold it to a local restaurant. (My hubster brought home a box of Godiva for me from his business trip to DC over the weekend.)

They also have a great Belgian Dark Chocolate ice cream.

If you have any Campbell's or Pepperidge Farm outlets near you, they carry Godiva. The outlets have the chocolate always marked down at least 50% and they are always first quality.

Although they do want to do soccer as well. I am always careful with such precious cargo in the car. I love those boys.

23. Sorry! I am a dancer myself...don't know how I missed it...

Boys who dance can always get a date. One of my nephews was in ballet until, like other athletes, he was forced to retire in his early 40s due to the impact of injuries. He teaches now but fondly remembers getting to travel the world and performing. He says there is always room for a good male dancer in any corps de ballet. Doesn't have to be ballet, could be jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, or modern...the world loves men who can dance!

25. My youngest did ballet and tap last year.

This year both boys are doing hip hop. They went to their first lesson and seem to really like it. I was hoping my youngest would stay with ballet but I guess not. I had heard that if you are even half decent, as a male you can get a scholarship with great ease.

My husband had reservations about ballet but he is great about hip hop. I am hoping it will give my two small white boys some badly needed rhythm. We shall see. As long as they are happy, that is what matters. I bet they could really get some girls if they learned some smooth moves.

26. Dancing is so wonderful to help develop body fluency.

And what you heard about scholarships for dancing boys is true, all true. My nephew (raised by a single mother in a camping trailer in Colorado) got a full ride to Julliard and never wanted for employment ever after. I don't know of anyone who gives scholarships for hip-hop, but I agree that being happy is what matters.

22. Grilled Chicken breats marinaded in tamarind sauce and

served on a bed of veggie Pad Thai. Field greens, sliced red onions, and almonds dressed a ginger garlic dressing. A whole bottle of wine yet unselected.

It's been BBQ beef all week long, I think it will be a while before I have any more beef, lol
