10.25" diameter 3mm carbon steel omelet pan from www.frenchcookware.com. The one on the left is the wonderful Lodge grill pan, in the middle is a Le Creuset 1.3 qt pan in festive flame :)

8. I don't think I've ever seen Le Cruset with wood handles

Is it new or a thrift store score? I assume its cast iron, too?

9. Here's the story

I got a wood-handled flame-colored sauce pan off of ebay real cheap. It's enameled cast iron. It had some pits on the inside bottom, so I emailed LC and asked if it was ok to use. They said they'd replace it for 75% off of list price with a new one: http://www.lecreuset.com/usa/products/guide.php?product_id=135

So, I did. The replacement was supposed to be the cobalt color, instead I got the flame color back. The handle is phenolic, there's a nice lid too with a steam hole. It makes wonderful oatmeal, which comes out much tastier and perfectly evenly cooked compared with the thin-gauge crappy Teflon one I was using.

2. What department did you find that strip?

It looks so familiar but I can't place it. This is something I can use over my kitchen sink.

4. uh, aisle 13?

I think it's called "angle iron", it was $8.50 or so. Very expensive, steel is pricey these days. It's attached to the drywall with 3 1/8"x2" toggle bolts.

The result is very functional but a little plain, but it's a rented kitchen so I'm not too concerned with appearance!

I have a problem finding spots to hang pots in my kitchen. Between AzDem's idea to hang a rod in front of a window between two cabintes and this angle iron, I should have some problems solved.

I took some pliers to my S hooks and tightened one side of them so they wouldn't come flying off every time I pulled a pan down
