Here is the cheesecake recipe I am going to use (is it ok)

Here is the cheesecake recipe I am going to use (is it ok)
It calls for an OREO Pie Crust but I want to use my spring form pan so can I use gram crackers instead?

2 pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
4 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted, slightly cooled
1 OREO Pie Crust (6 oz.)
Make It


PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs; mix just until blended. Stir in melted chocolate. Pour into crust.

BAKE 40 min. or until center is almost set; cool.

REFRIGERATE several hours or overnight. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.

1. That really isn't a cheesecake.
It's a cream cheese pie. It's very easy but you will be disappointed if you are expecting cheesecake.

It's a good primer.

If the results are encouraging, then next time, look around for a NY style recipe that calls for more cheese + eggs.
