Has anyone tasted maple viniagrette?

My officemate had a salad of greens, pear, apple, candied pecans, and blue cheese with maple viniagrette at our office lunch. It amazed me because she doesn't like pears, apples, and cheese (digestive problems). She loved it! I googled the recipe and ended up going with the second one here.

Maple syrup sounds weird in salad dressing, but it's really good. I also made the pecans according to the instructions in for doing walnuts in the second recipe.

1. I've never heard of it, let alone tasted it.
I can, however, imagine it ..... and it sounds really good!

2. It really is
I soaked up the extra dressing with my bread. There ought to be other uses for it, too. I wonder if it would taste good on hot sweet potatoes.

3. No, but I will!
It sounds wonderful, especially with the salad ingredients you posted.

4. I do this sort of thing several times a week
including tonight's dinner.

Salad greens, a chopped apple, a couple ounces of goat cheese or fresh mozzarella, drizzled with balsamic vinegar and syrup. Sometimes walnuts, dried cherries, or other random things land in it.

A couple times I've made a huge pot of it for my kids at school, they love it too.
