1. Nothing therte that I wouldn't eat .... all that's there that I do eat is ......
.... pomegranate juice, blueberry (as juice, not frozen), and sardines (on rye, with slab of raw onion).

Hey ..... do frozen blueberry Eggo Waffles count?

2. Pumpkin seeds, cabbage, cinnamon right this minute
so I did one better than the author.

The beets above look lovely, if messy to prepare. Maybe I'll try it with yellow beets.

The only way I do pumpkin is dulces de calabasa. I'm not fond of orange goo, I don't care how it's spiced. It's still goo. She should have stuck all winter squashes into the group. They're lovely cubed and cooked and served with butter and fresh parsley.

One she forgot was sweet potatoes.

...green tea, red grapes or wine, handful of almonds, broccoli....

I've been trying to figure out a way to get the cinnamon in. I hate it in coffee, and can't eat most things that would include it. I'd love to have cinnamon toast, but that's o-u-t. I'll have to check the carb level in canned pumpkin. I might tolerate canned pumpkin with cinnamon.

5. Pumpkin is fairly low glycemic
I tolerate it pretty well and enjoy it once or twice a week. I throw it in Pancakes made with low carb mix or my current fav is Pumpkin Smoothies. I Freeze some of the pumpkin in ice cube trays and blend it up with some Almond Breeze or Soy or even ff milk. Add stevia, cinnamon and a little nutmeg and it's like drinking pumpkin pie.
