Experimental turkey breast in crockpot was a big success
I have a Cookbook called "Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker" which advocated cooking off a turkey breast in a crockpot. You layer a sliced onion in bottom of crock, add a little chicken stock, herb up the breast, and cook it on high til done. It took about 7 1/2 hours - it was a pretty good-sized turkey breast which just barely fit into the pot .(Of course, you do NOT get a browned or crisp skin doing this, but I was looking to do other things with the turkey)

I transformed most of it into Turkey Tettrazini which if I do say so:blush: was the best I ever made due in large part to how moist and tasty the turkey component was.

1. That's a great idea. I've often done a similar thing with a smallish
whole chicken when I want to use the meat for pot pie or something. I'll have to try turkey breast.

2. The great thing about crock pot turkey breast
is that it's never dry. You don't get that crisp skin but the moist meat more than makes up for it, IMO, especially if you're using the meat for any other dish--even sliced for sandwiches.
