Thursday Edition - What's for dinner?
Bill works late tonight. I think he's going to have a burger when he gets in.

As for me....dunno.
Maybe green chili and chicken taquitos with sour cream and salsa, and a salad. (Leftover chicken)
Maybe an Asiago Dill Omlette.
Maybe the last of the chili and some beer bread.

Whats for dinner in your world?

1. Rich is getting some Sesame Chicken thing I got at Costco

I'm packing up all the pork I made for him yesterday and freezing it otherwise he'll eat that daily and as we all know....that's just not "right".

I will have a large salad with that wonderful Pear/Gorgonzola dressing they sell at TJ's (fairly low in calories too btw). I'll probably zap a Turkey Lean Cuisine.

2. Pear and gorgonzola rock together. Sounds like a wonderful dressing.
Sesame Chicken sounds like a nice diversion from his pork obsession. :) Hope he likes it!

3. Chicken Pot Pie
... probably. Depending on when work comes in... working from home is great, but it does seem to get busy just as I'm planning dinner! The nerve!

Low fat biscuit crust, carrots and peas, biiig chunks of chicken - dark and light meat together - nice low salt, low fat gravy.... a one-pot, cold weather treat... At 11:47 in the morning the temp outside has risen to a whopping 15.4 degrees.
Warm the house with the stove, warm the body with the food.

5. Looks like it will be the Asiago Omlette for dinner now.
I made chicken enchiladas with the leftover chicken and chili for lunch, so the omlette moves to the head of the line.

6. Pot roast in the crockpot with carrots and green beans
I put a small boneless chuck roast in the crockpot this morning and let it go on low all day in some vegetable broth with onion flakes, parsley, garlic powder & a bay leaf.

What made it special is that I added several spoons of tomato tapenade. So I'll save the juices for adding to other dishes.

7. Slow-roasted chicken leg quarters
(we like dark meat), and homemade pear and peach chutney. A simple salad with homemade Russian dressing. (I found the recipe from - ta da! - The Russian Tea Room and it's great).

After yesterday's Kraft Macaroni and Cheese misadventure, I dreamed all night that Luciano Pavarotti and I were having an argument about macaroni. Not good.

Food today - very careful. Very.

8. Lady B and I fed Mr. K big old BLTs for lunch so us girls
had smoked oysters with cheddar cheese and apples on Triscuits and Ritz

we stuck the oysters on the crackers with a daub of mayo, I'd never tried it and she swore by it.

It was wonderful and 'just right' for how hungry we were.
