Where do you keep the cookies? A cookie jar is fine for most store bought
cookies and some chocolate chip cookies, but how do you store cookies that have frosting on them or are otherwise delicate without taking up tons of space?

Sometimes in layers with waxed paper between each layer.

3. Do you suppose parchment paper would work as well? How about aluminum foil?

4. I have to guess because I never store cookies, but it seems like
parchment layers in a loose packet of foil would work.

I usually make cookie dough and then just bake cookies fresh on demand, so I never have any to store...

5. Do you mean between layers?
If that's what you mean, then yes, parchment would work as well as waxed paper. Foil between layer might work too, but some frosting might stick to foil in a way that it might not with waxed paper or parchment. But if the frosting is dry, foil be find.

Or do you mean wrap the cookies in foil instead of using a tin? It should work especially if you're not planning on keeping the cookies for more than a few days.

6. I've used paper towels between layers, too
....and it works just swell. When we went on a road trip in the motor home I always made a batch of the oatmeal cookies we love and put them in a tupperware with paper towels between layers.

7. I put them in a flat sealed container
with a small piece of bread on the bottom. I put either waxed paper or paper towels on top of the bread and in between the layers of cookies. But I almost never make cookies with frosting on them, either. Too much work for me. LOL

I have a square Tupperware container. I put the cookies in and add a piece of bread.
