I'm debating whether to enter a Chili Competition or not
Edited on Wed Feb-11-09 09:22 PM by Mind_your_head
Our market center is doing a Chili Competition fund-raiser next week.

Personally, I don't care all that much for chili. My ex liked it very much, so years ago when I was married, I made it for him. I was told (not just by him) that my chili was AWESOME. Well, I looked back in my old notes to see if I could once again make this chili for the competition. Basically, I wrote down a list of ingredients, instructed myself to look at the basic "xyz" recipe and IMPROVISE! Hell, I don't remember what I "improvised" 10-12 years ago!

Not sure if I should enter the competition or not (since I don't care very much for chili in the first place, I really don't feel motivated to 'practice' between now and then. However, there is the opportunity for national exposure b/c the winner - and recipe - will be published in nationally read (industry) magazine).

Thoughts/advice?

edit to add: (industry)
