Avacado Oil ...Anyone?
Edited on Mon May-04-09 11:02 PM by Tuesday Afternoon
Avocado oil offers many advantages over the more traditional olive oils used for cooking and drizzling. It offers a smoke point of around 491°F (255°C), higher than 406°F (208°C) of olive oil, an important difference for cooking. Avocado oil has a higher viscosity than olive oil, and texturally is more pleasant than all other oils.

5. Health food stores will have it, too
I never liked it all that much, but I can see a place for it in Mexican cooking and Caribbean cooking.

6. It's available everywhere here
I never saw the need to stop using the olive, peanut and canola oils I generally use.
