Why does a V8 Weekly Pak

Consist of only six cans?

Cosmic question of the day, or what?

1. It's the same reason
you can buy 8 hot dogs but only 6 hot dog buns. They want you to buy just one more pak. ;)

2. Because they don't make plastic wrappers that fit 7 cans???
Because everybody deseres at least one day off a week???

Because they're dumb and they think a week only has 6 days???

I dunno..

Gotta admit, that hot dog thing never made any sense to me, either.

3. That's simple

Butchers like things that are x to the pound, like a pound of hot dogs is 8.

Bakers like things that stack evenly, so 10s won out.

It wasn't really a big deal until it was a big deal. Of course, with machinery now we can make any damned combination we want, and have packs of 8 rolls, but that's new.

4. First, you're assumed to be civilized enough
to go to brunch after church on Sunday, where you will gorge yourself with a lot of stuff that is bad for you to tide yourself over to Sunday dinner, where you will do the same. On the seventh day, god rested, proving he was male.

In any case, having you buy 2 "weekly" six packs every six weeks is sound business practice.

While they could easily package 7 foil lined boxes of the stuff together, they're wedded to their current packaging as part of their product identification, so they're stuck with an even number.

6. is that stuff still loaded with salt?
I used to crave it when I was had a cold or flu, but I was shocked at how much salt it had... (my husband is on a low salt diet now and I was stunned at how many commercial products have tons of salt.)
