Radish/green onion spread
Having friends over this afternoon for snacky things and wine, so I made some radish/green onion spread. It's super easy and very tasty. I like to serve it with slices of baguette, but it's also good with whole wheat crackers.

Radish, green onion spread
1-8 oz. pkg cream cheese
3/4 cup red radish chopped
1/2 t onion salt (celery salt is okay too)
1/4 cup green onion top, chopped (I use the whole green onion)

Soften the cream cheese
Add radishes, onion and salt
Mix together and chill
(You can mix all ingredients in a food process for a smoother blend)

1. Sounds good. I've been throwing any herbs I have
growing into my dips. I'm just running out of people to eat it!

2. looks yummy
I never think to have things like onion salt in the house. But I *might* have some celery salt left over from pickling last year.

It reminds me of a lunch I used to eat: cottage cheese mixed with all kinds of chopped veggies, and some dill weed. I used to have a cup of that, a glass of V-8, and some triscuits and think it was a pretty good and healthy meal.

3. I love veggie cream cheese spreads
especially on bagels. I use it for what I call salad sandwiches for Bill's lunches sometimes. Spread it on the pita or whatever and load it up with avos, sprouts, tomatoes, whatever.

:hi:
