I just discovered two frozen hard boiled eggs in my fridge (the were sitting in a cold spot, doh!)
On the bright side, I may have finally discovered how to deshell a cooked egg easily and thoroughly!
But I've never seen a frozen egg before and wonder about it. Will it thaw normally and go back to how it was? Will the texture be different?
Anybody have experience with this?

After posting I did some research and saw that while the yolks freeze fine, the white will be messed up texture wise.
But it was really amazing how easily they deshelled! And then they were frozen little egg bombs, wouldn't want to be hit in the head with one of those!

Thanks for that amusing visual! I'll not retest the hypothesis.

6. I think I would have moved them |
|
to a warmer spot in the fridge, and then if the texture of the white was going to be messed up as you read, just chopped it up and added it to tuna salad.
