1. This is a great deal

I bought mine at Costco about 6 months ago for a little more and haven't regretted it a bit. The Banana "ice cream" is a life saver for me and I do a green smoothie with a whole apple, a cup or two of spinach and some ginger most every day. I've had decent blenders in the past but really nothing compares. Along with my Kitchen Aide it's something that is well worth the cost for me.

It's a huge purchase for kitchen equipment and not for everyone. It doesn't replace your food processor or your stand mixer but it's great at doing what it does. If you really want to do super healthy and raw foods it's a wonder.
