For Year’s End, Decadent Quiche
'Made without any bothersome vegetables to compromise the silky custard, my favorite quiche is a combination of Julia Child recipes, her quiche Lorraine and quiche au fromage.'

1. You temptress you!
Sounds like a wonderful indulgence although I really don't find the vegetables bothersome.
But then I prefer chunky peanut butter to smooth...hehehe.

2. Thought 'bothersome vegetables' a good yuck, Dover,
prefer them to most things, and don't care for ANY kind of p-nut butter!

:D

3. The phrase "bothersome vegetables" bothers me.
I know, once in a while, many of us get a carnivorous craving, and want animal based proteins.

Alas, our country has a lot of health issues related to diet. And, while I know it was meant sarcastically, even tongue in cheek, to see it in print like that still rubs me the wrong way.

Believe me, I love quiche. And, with the girls giving me 9 really large eggs every day very faithfully, I've been making them pretty regularly over the past few months. Last weekend (12/19), I make a ham, broccoli, corn, and cheese quiche that was actually VERY full of broccoli. And, it was great.

I guess I'll counter the NYT piece with this:
