Vacuum sealers. Do you have one?
Foodsaver seems to be the one to get.

1. Yup. Foodsaver. Use it all the time.
I am very pleased with them, although the newer roll of sleeve I got seems to leak a little air.

2. Thank you.
Ever cut your own steaks and freeze them?

6. I did years ago
I still cut my own pork chops from pork loins when they're on sale. We don't eat enough beef to bother cutting my own any more.

3. Indeed!
I have used sealers since the 1970's Daisy Seal-a-Meal. :-)

I use my current Foodsaver vacuum sealer several times every day. Bags and rolls are also sold cheaper at Amazon and Ebay.

4. That's what I have.
After Reynolds discontinued their hand-held sealer I got a Food Saver. I'm not disappointed.

5. I know they work well.
But it seems to me the bag are awfully expensive. I freeze a lot of stuff and never have any real issues with freezer burn or off flavors, and just use regular old Ziploc type bags.

I'd consider a vacuum sealer if the cost of the bags weren't prohibitive.

7. I'm thinking of getting one
but I need a commercial job for my fiber. I'm getting sick of going into my stash and finding out some damned moth has gotten there first.
