Lamb shanks aren't too common
at our local Payless. Renate marinated them in seasoned yogurt, then braised them with carrots, rutabaga, onions, shallots and rosemary. She made garlic mashed potatos and a 3-bean salad. It was excellent.

1. I want to live next door to you and Renate.
You would be my ideal neighbors. I love lamb and that dish has my mouth watering. :hi:

3. Yum.
I'm the only one in my house who likes it, so I rarely buy lamb. That sounds so good.

5. The lamb releases a lot of collagen
with the slow cooking, and the onions caramelize. The sauce is amazing. I know some folks don't like lamb, but you can do miraculous things with it.
