I've done eggplant and zuchini. Seems like squash would work too. I'm marinating it in some balsamic salad dressing. Anybody tried this?

they're almost as good as the zuc...
funny thing sometimes happens tho', when you have them seed side down the seeds can stick on the grill and pull out...
startling the first time you see it.:o Oh!

I'm not a big fan of squash anyway, but these came from a neighbor's garden. Nothing to write home about. :-)

I would have scooped the seeds out - do you eat the seeds?

3. We do them all the time |

Olive oil and salt. That's it.
We've grilled a huge number of vegetables. Even broccoli and cauliflower. The fact is, they all improve with grilling, but some look pretty odd when you're done.

Sometimes my husband does them with zucchini and onions in a big grill pan, maybe a little Italian dressing mixed in...or he'll make long slices and add a few sprinkles of whatever he feels like using. If we have leftovers, I like to throw them on pasta. You can also make veggie kabobs and grill them that way.

but I prefer its delicate flavor more steamed and served with butter, salt and pepper.
I've just brushed it with a garlicky Italian dressing and popped it onto the grill. It was good with mixed grilled veggies and tofu.

8. toss 'em with olive oil and some Montreal Steak Seasoning... |
|
...in a zip lock bag and grill just until there are blackened spots but the squash aren't too soft (I cut them into quarters first and the necks will be over done, but it's not a problem). I find zukes easier to grill though because they're more uniform diameter.
