Have a Keurig single cup coffeemaker?

I need to buy an assortment of coffee refills for a birthday present. I have searched on line and cannot seem to find the best price. I was told that Bed & Bath is the place to go. Where do you get your case(24+)?
I don't have one so this stuff is new to me. Help is appreciated.

It doesn`t cost anything to join and you get a discount. I buy large quantities to get the free shipping as well. We drink a great deal of the green tea!

Amazon also has inserts that allow you to use your own ground coffee. The ones they carry are far easier to use than the K cup insert that may have come with your machine. This is a 15 dollar investment that is well worth the money as using your own coffee in the long run is far cheaper. My SO hates most of the pre filled cups so he enjoys filling his own. Amazon also sells the prefilled cups.

If you just want a small box then your best bet is Bed Bath & Beyond or even Target. Costco also has a great price on a box of 80 but they only carry Tully`s

2. Costco

We buy our coffee there - a box has 80 cups - we pay $30.00. I thought on line was expensive. Actually I thought it ws cheaper at Target than on line.

Those things will end up costing you out the wazoo in those stupid little cups. It's a very costly, trendy item.

No wonder someone wants the refills as a birthday present.

4. I don't have one.

It is on my Wish List, though. I have one cup of coffee in the morning and I want it to be a good one. I think this machine would work really well in this house.

5. Honestly...look for another alternative if you want a really good cup

I have one and although it`s quick and convenient for our home it doesn`t make a delicious cup. I like it because I have arthritis and it`s hard for me to pour a full carafe from a drip pot and a single serve cone just gets too messy for me. We also drink both tea and coffee and it provides us with variety and choice. Frankly the coffee isn`t that great. The only really exceptional pre-filled k cup that I have found has been the Wolfgang Puck Viennese roast. I really enjoy the variety of tea selections though.

9. That's good to know.

I currently have a Cuisinart that's a few years old. It still brews a really good cup of coffee and still works just fine.

The kind of coffee you buy makes a big difference too. After trying out various brands and blends of coffee I still like Eight O'Clock Columbian the best.

8. Best cup of coffee I know of

As well as being one of the lesser expensive methods of preparing good coffee at home.

Buy yourself a 1-cup Melita coffee filter cone and 1-cup sized filters (Trader Joe's has the best price, it's their box labeled @2). Then buy yourself some whole beans and a grinder (if you don't already have one). Freshly ground coffee is critical.




They're brown since they are unbleached as opposed to bleached Melita filters that cost more



Bring to boil 1 cup (8 - 10 oz) of water. Put the filter into the cone and then add about 1 tbls ground coffee (you'll want to adjust this amount to your taste - I actually weight my beans (1 gram per ounce of water, it's about a level tablespoon of beans) prior to grinding and then use all that I just ground for a strong-but-not-too-strong cup.)) Place the coffee-filled cone on top of a cup or mug.

When the water boils, slowly pour the water over the grounds in 3 or 4 batches and let most of the water drain into the cup before pouring more.

'Course most of the goodness comes from the variety, grade and quality of the beans along with the skill of the roaster.

When I was single, that's what I used. One cup at a time. Very affordable.

Boil water, pour it over coffee grounds of your choice in the Mellita. - very good system. No need really to grind your own coffee beans. Any drip coffee will work just fine.

Perfect for a one person household.

13. I prefer one of these...

I also have an old Black and Decker single cup maker. It's pretty much the same thing as the Melita, only it heats the water, and it has a reusable filter, rather than the paper ones. It also brews a decent cup. And, I have control over the amount of coffee I use. I like it kind of on the strong side.

14. I really want to like the French Press

I have one and have tried on a few occasions to make a decent cup in one but have Failed. I know you are suppose to use a courser grind than drip. I have a grinder. I have beans. How many Tablespoons do you use for a strong cup.

Donut House cups for Keurig, mild and smooth. I have tried many other brands and this by far is the best.

I drink one cup of coffee a day, my roomate drinks many. I like the Keurig because sometimes later in the day or after dinner I would like a cup of coffee - this is the answer to my problems.

By the way, I went from two pots of coffee a day down to one cup. I like my Keurig.

10. My friend likes hers too.

She got a Keurig a few months ago amd she and her husband love it. I guess it all depends on how much coffee you drink and what kind of coffee you prefer.

15. You can buy an accessory so you can use regular coffee.

That would make an excellent gift. But Costco is the best place to buy them. A box of 80 Caribou, which is my fave, for $35.00.
