3. On Father's Day, I needed to do something special for my mom

who raised us on her own.

Pulling guts out of the thingy seemed like the most daring thing I could do to show my appreciation. She knows I can barely swat flies, lol.

Plus, made some potato leek soup & croutons, a little green salad.

This is the first year my dad is gone so no Gurney's order, or card or phone call. Damn. He'd probably laugh at me, making such a big deal out of cutting off a few squid heads. And he would have tucked in to the soup.
