1. Some people love it enough to eat whole jars with a spoon
It's too icky sweet for me.

Besides, I like my chocolate dark, bitter, and unadorned.

2. I love it.
But, I can only eat half a jar with a spoon. ;-) It's good in small doses. I like it on fruit, such as apples or bananas.

3. I bathe in it. I love it. I think of it as a food group.
By the way, it isn't chocolate, even though it tastes chocolaty. It is hazelnut butter with a small (but intense) bit of cocoa in it.

6. The only thing I don't like about nutella is them marketing it...
...as a healthy breakfast for children. Many DU-ers agree with me on a prior thread. Shouldn't be marketed to moms as healthy breakfast for children. Children shouldn't be eating either sugary cereals OR nutella for breakfast.

9. I was in the UK recently where there is a vigorous ad campaign promoting Nutella
as part of a "healthy and balanced breakfast"--- said breakfast also features milk, a banana and high-fiber bread... aka a good breakfast w/out the undoubtedly-delicious-but-let's-be honest-it's-dessert hazelnut and chocolate spread. :)

That said, put it on a crepe w/whipped cream and enjoy a few seconds of nirvana! :bounce

It's sinfully fabulous! I like to dip thin pretzel sticks into the jar and eat it as a snack.

13. I love chocolate hazelnut spread, but Nutella is all sugar....
As one other brand that I ate recently notes, "Nutella tastes like cake frosting because it has as much sugar as cake frosting." I like chocolate hazelnut spreads with less sugar. They're hard to find, though.

14. Divine! I eat it straight from the jar
some of it makes it into food, but it is hard. Whatever I make with it is great though.

17. "Easy" Homemade Vegan Nutella
I make this all the time and it is better than the jarred stuff. After the nuts are toasted it takes no time at all.

20. Don't tell anyone I told ya....but
You don't have to limit this recipe to hazelnuts. I make it with almonds and I've even done it with macademias :wow:

They sell cinnamon crusted almonds at Trader Joes that I may try with it next.

We don't like Nutella but love this stuff on whole grain pop-cakes. They were giving samples at whole-paycheck one day and we fell in love. They have a machine that air pops the pop-cakes and man are the pop-cakes good too!
