I love these.
Take pizza dough (store bought, home made, whatever you prefer) and roll it out into long strings about 1/4 to 1/3 inch thick and about 8-10 inches long. Get a bunch of minced garlic (again, store bought or mince it yourself) and spread it out on some wax paper. Roll the strings of dough in the garlic so that they are well covered. Tie the strings into a knot and cook.
Two ways to cook these are both work well.
1 - Use a pizza stone. Spread some corn meal on it, pre-heat the stone and then place the knots on it and cook until golden brown (10-15 minutes)
2 - If you have a deep fat fryer, these are also awesome deep fried, just put them in until golden brown.
These are great to eat "as is" or with a dipping sauce... and lots of sauces make for great dips. Personally, I love the artichoke marinara from Trader Joe's. Your favorite marinara will do just fine though. Kraft Zesty Italian is also good, so is... Jack Daniels BBQ sauce... Garlic and lemon flavored humus...Ranch dressing... Blue cheese dressing... man, you can use just about anything. post if you find something particularly good so I can try it :D
