6. I've never seen such an abundance and wealth of wonderful produce
until I came here to Portland. During the summer, you can find a farmer's market somewhere in the metro area almost any day of the week. None of them quite as lush as the downtown Portland market, but still plenty of gorgeous fruits, vegetables, flowers and more - much of it locally grown and much of it organic. It's one of the things I love the most about being here.

7. *Gorgeous*
I'm jealous, and live in the South where we USED to have such farmer's markets. The base part of me wants to run off with a bunch of those gorgeous heirloom tomatoes, and some of that bok choy. The better part of me, that rules my lizard brain, decided that somehow or the other, I've got to organize a farmer's market in my community. We've just gotten too big to be out here in the Republican sticks and are too agricultural to NOT have one.

8. I know
I'm drooling. I want to move to the NW for the gay marriage bit, but hell, the produce alone could drive a woman to extremes :D
