Back in January, I suffered a seizure which turned out to be caused by a grade 1 meningioma pressing on my brain. Recovery has not been easy. My husband announced that he wants a divorce, and he hasn't been very good at emotional support, so I asked my brother Wayne to come out to spend some time with me. He dropped what he was doing and came out.
Wayne happens to be a heavy smoker (pack a day). He says he is going through a smoking cessation program through Catholic Charities where quitting cold turkey is not recommended. He is also losing weight (I can see that).
He was scheduled to have some type of surgery on his bladder. It is surgery that he has had done before. On the day of the procedure, his doctor decided to postpone it because of a respiratory infection. When I asked Wayne about it, he said it was just a seasonal cold, and that there was concern that anesthesia and intubation would result in pneumonia.
For about a week now, Wayne has not returned my phone calls or answered my e-mails. My niece says he is going to doctor appointments and taking his medicine, but isn't taking care of himself otherwise.
No one can compare to Wayne; he means the world to me. We have another brother, an evil, greedy Republican, who doesn't speak to us.
I would appreciate prayers for Wayne's recovery.
Thank you. Here's how I feel right now. ------->
