My cat CC is missing.

I moved almost 3 weeks ago. The night before the moving van came, several people came over to help me pack. In the confusion, CC got out(he's stricktly an indoor cat), and we haven't been able to find him. I moved 3 hours away from there, and I can only get up there occasionally to look for him. There have been some sightings, but he apparently is having too much fun to come home.
My cats are my kids. I can't begin to tell you how distressed I am over this! :cry:

I am so sorry to hear about CC! do you still have family or friends where you used to live, that could or would be able to look for CC? What a naughty kitty- I've heard stories about pets finding their way many, many miles to home. I will pray that you and CC will find each other again, and that the Lord will keep CC safe. I have a few friends who are looking, and a few high school kids who are looking so they can collect the reward $$.
I just don't know what else to do. Hopefully, I'll go back up there this weekend, but it's so discouraging to come home empty-handed.

3. A lot of years ago I had a wonderful cat, a runt, who lived to be almost 17

that whenever we would move she would find her way out of the house and go up a tree for a couple of days and sit in the tree bawling at us until we were almost done moving, then she'd slink back down sneak into the house and hide until we 'found' her. It happened three different times. She would never even think of going outside unless we were moving. She was my shoulder cat, the only one I have ever had, and I miss her to this day.

I spent several hours up there yesterday, and got several leads. I didn't find him, but I'm convinced that he's still alive. I'ts just a matter of time.

8. UPDATE: CC is home!!!

I just realized I didn't share the good news with you all - CC is finally back home!

The story is amazing and almost unbelievable. Here's the short run-down:
July 5, 2009 - CC runs away the night before I move 200 miles away.
July 6 - I return to my hometown to care for my dad (alzheimer's)
April 15, 2010 - My best friend Julie introduces me to a "nice guy" - Andy. Within 3 weeks, we are engaged.
June 15 - my dad passes away. I am at his side, able to tell him to let go and be with Mom.
October 30 - Our wedding day. My brother comes from PA to do the ceremony. BEAUTIFUL day!!
OCTOBER 31 - Got a phone call from a church member... a cat looking like CC is in their garage. Her parents are away, ATTENDING OUR WEDDING! When Andy & I arrive, her parents just got there 15 minutes before we did. CC jumps into my arms and climbs on top of my neck, and everyone begins crying. Andy is introduced to the long-missing member of the family.

The amazing thing is that this family lives about 15 miles away from where I lived. Somehow, he managed to travel those 15 miles in about 15 months, and heads to that particular family's garage. In that town, there are only three families who attended my church. Also, the girl was going to attend my wedding, but had to work instead. Oh, and the Mom and her kids (including this teen girl) were there the night CC ran away - they were helping me pack my moving boxes.

People can say it was an amazing coincidence. I believe in my heart that it was a wedding present from my mom and dad.
