I hope this is the correct place to ask this question.
A Jewish person and a Wiccan are joining us for Thanksgiving Day meal.
We always have a prayer before our meals. We are United Methodists.
I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. Does anyone have any suggestions?

is to do your prayer as usual and include thanks that your guests are with you this year...
you might also call them ahead of time, and ask if they wanted to say a few words also....?
About the only way I wouldnt handle it is to wait until youre all at the table and ask if theyd like to say something then...
Could I have possibly given you a more babbling answer? :)

I felt kind of stupid for even posting this question.

I view all prayer as the same; it matters nothing to me what form it takes, or what tradition it comes from. To me, prayer=meditation=realization=awakening.
I also think that it is kind of you to consider your guests' feelings. I imagine your table is going to be a wonderful place to be. :)

5. Ooohh, that last was my 616th post. |
|
In some versions of Revelation, "616" is the Number of the Beast.
Just thought I'd mention that. :)
