My son is 7 years old and has expressed interest in playing full contact football. We play catch and he seems to have his father’s athleticism, but I'm not sure if he is emotionally ready. He can get really upset if he doesn’t catch the ball every time.
If any parents can share their insight and or experiences it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Where I live, they don't let them have contact that young. |

There's no tackling or hitting yet. It's more of a flag football-type league. My son is 13 this June and just started tackle football last year. He decided to go out for track instead this year, which he is much better at anyway.

Check out the coaches, watch a few games. If he has good coaches they will work out those issues.
