I'm asking all our relatives NOT to send any Chinese toys.
It was bad enough when all of our manufacturing jobs were sent to China. Now they want to poison our kids as well? We are insane to support this. There will be no Chinese toys under our tree this year. I'll post again when I find good sources of American-made toys.
Anyone with me?

Crayola (USA). Tichonderoga (spelling?) pencils (USA). Big roll of drawing paper and colored construction paper. Scissors. Rice paste glue (Japan or your kitchen, online also). Thread/yarn. Plastic needles. Buttons. Balsa wood. Popsicle sticks.
The kids will have a ball with that stuff.
