Any experience with alternative scouting programs?

We would like to get our kids involved with scouting, but despise the boy scouts. I have seen some others out there like Earth Scouts, but they don't seem to be very organized. Just curious as to if any DUers have experienced any of these other programs.

1. my husband feels the same way - I have always meant to find alternative

programs- there are some for girls, but I don't know about any for boys...


if you hear of any, I would like to know.
