"L" is for...

I was with my kid's elementary school class this afternoon. One of the things the kids like to do to taunt each other was flash their index finger and thumb in the shape of a "L" and say "loser".

I looked at that, and said, now why would you do that? Didn't you know the word L stands for love? Then I positioned my index fingers and thumbs together and shows when you have 2 L's you have a heart.
Some kids caught on to it, but the end result was they quit calling each other "loser" and focused on the activity at hand.
