Is there a way to do all my ipod stuff on Ubuntu
Without jumping through a million hoops?

I've been reading a few different sites and it seems to be pretty goddamn involved. Jailbreaking? Downloading a separate 3rd party music player for the ipod? Only transferring music through a wireless connection?

Am I missing an easier solution here?

All I know is I finally get this all setup and when I plug in my ipod Ubuntu says it's a camera, that is if it even mounts at all.

I really like Ubuntu, but if I can't do my ipod stuff then it's not much use to me.

Any ideas? Because I'll be damned if I'm going through this...

1. I use Amarok for all three of my ipods...
..I can't purchase music with it, but then again, was that ever an issue? Eh?
