Since so many people post in the lounge when they have computer/software problems, how 'bout a group dedicated to it? Got a computer problem? Got a suggestion? Want to recommend your favorite programs? Show your support here.

Mission statement:

The Computer Help and Support Group provides a forum to seek and dispense advice and questions regarding computer and software problems and issues. It is also a place for recommending programs and systems. Everyone is invited to ask questions, seek help, and provide advice and answers.

If it sounds cool to you, just post on the lounge thread linked above.

This forum sounds pretty cool too. All I have to do is get rid of all the worthless freeware crap already on my system so I can try out some stuff.

1. Yeah, I thought about adding my name, but I'm not a Windows
user, haven't even used it at work for more than four years, so I wouldn't have much to offer. With that said, I'll vote for it.

2. Not just Windows
I propose it open to Mac and Linux people too. Hell, if you've got a Commodore 64 or an Atari 800, post on it!

3. Actually, I do have an Atari 800 --- yeah, I knew what it was
for, but you must admit that 98% of the questions will be Windows-centric ... but I signed up anyway

5. Hey, I still have fond memories of Star Raiders
A cool Atari 800 game that probably would seem lame by today's standards.

6. Still one of my favorite games, actually. I loved being called a
"Garbage Scow Captain" :)

4. Hmmm...but there's already a Mac Group.
But I'd definately support a general help-type group. Count me in!
