How to put the lock on Gates for good?
Gates was just on TV saying how Apple locks you in to their products and doesn't offer choice. M$ on the other hand licenses their software to other companies.

So, how can we do our bit to tell people how Linux, et al, do the same thing but gives the people the ADDED bonus of being able to CHANGE AND IMPROVE AND CUSTOMIZE Linux, et al, for their specialized services, without needing to worry about strangulating licensing policies that are increasingly ridiculous (especially as M$ now wants corporate customers to renew fees every x years (which'll eventually fall onto the consumer base as well))

1. Well, that's easy, Free as in Freedom, not as in free beer.
That is what the GPL and LGPL are based on, and that is how they should remain. No strangulating licenses, and no paying for lawyers just to jump through hoops.
