Free C++ compiler
Are there any good free C++ compilers out there? I have found the Borland compiler. Is there anything else? Is the Borland one good enough?

2. Bloodshed Dev-C++ too
From their website:
Dev-C++

Bloodshed Dev-C++ is a full-featured Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for the C/C++ programming language. It uses MinGW port of GCC (GNU Compiler Collection) as it's compiler. Dev-C++ can also be used in combination with Cygwin or any other GCC based compiler.

You mentioned Borland so I assume you meant free C++ compilers for Windows.

3. G++ is GCC's C++ compiler. Really good.
I don't compile a lot of things from source, seeing as I've got a slow processor (Enjoy it while I have it, this computer goes into the shop tomorrow so the skilled technicians can heal our (my dad and I) headaches about this. I got a new processor , motherboard , RAM <512 MB, double my old RAM, and it's pc3200>, and a new case and power supply.

I need those to be repaired so I can start using portage and gentoo as a test distro, and ubuntu as my default distro.
