Can anyone recommend...
...some good ebook software which is free? I have been hunting around but keep finding that most software is free until you want to sell your published ebook. Unfortunately I am not in a position to pay for that unless the book sells. LOL

Thank in advance. :)

On edit: If your objective is to sell, I don't know if you'll get past the fees. Hey http://www.lulu.com says that they are free.... I have a friend who published through them.

2. What format are you looking to use?
If you're familiar with HTML and want to publish in PDF format, you might want to look at HTMLDOC.

Commercial version: http://www.easysw.com/htmldoc/

GNU GPL version: http://www.htmldoc.org/

4. Thanks for the links!
Not sure on the format yet. It is a joint project, but we both know HTML extremely well. :)

5. You're welcome. There is also a program called html2pdbtxt to convert
from HTML to Palm .pdb format. It is part of the txt2pdbdoc package, from

http://homepage.mac.com/pauljlucas/software/txt2pdbdoc/

Unix/Linux/BSD only I think (unless you have cygwin or something similar on Windows).
