The previous tennant of my new office left behind a nice two-line analog phone (see pic below).
What I'd like to do is use this as a VOIP phone, but I'm having trouble finding an analog telephone adapter that has the features I'm looking for.
- Linux and Windows compatibility
- USB 2.0
- Compatible with Skype, SIP and H.323. If it works with Vonage too, all the better.
I've found this ATA (
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5234689227&category=11682&refid=store) but do not know if it will work with Skype or Linux. It's only USB 1.1 but I suppose that doesn't matter.
Any help in this area would be appreciated. I'm just beginning to learn about VOIP even though I've already set up a couple of computers with Vonage.
On second thought, USB or ethernet connectivity is OK -- I think. Will an ordinary ATA work with Skype? Damn, I feel as clueless as I did when I first started with Linux many years ago. :-)
