scanning documents to word...

is there any free software out there that can scan documents to word so i can save them and edit them later?

i think it's called ocr software and the stuff i see on line costs hundred of dollars...
ABBYY FineReader is the software Epson recommends

i have a CX 4600 epson

1. You may be able to get an old version of OmniPage on eBay fairly cheaply
