opinions on the new firefox release?

so v.1.5 has been released i was wondering what the open source community things thus far? i have it for osx, so far so good.

1. I have it on Windoze 98se, and like it fine.

Finally liked it better than mozilla suite, which is what I've been using.

I just built it for FreeBSD 5.4, and it seems to run, but I really have not had time to evaluate it. The mozilla build, OTOH puked before it finished, so unless I have trouble with FireFox/Thunderbird, I don't expect to go back there either.

2. Pleased so far ...

I am very happy with the much improved back/fwd navigation, which is the most obvious improvement. A lot of other improvements seem well done.

On the slightly negative side, I'm not very pleased with the new look of the options window. This is due in part to having become accustomed to the old look. I don't like having to learn where everything is again when I haven't changed programs. However, I don't see the need for it. MS apps do this all the time, and I find it very irritating.

I haven't installed it system-wide yet as the default browser. I created a new profile and installed in my user account to evaluate for a few days to make sure it wouldn't get in a fight with my system. I haven't, however, been able to evaluate it fully because of this since I'm not real anxious to install my plugins (mplayer, java, etc.) for the separate installation. I'm downloading the SuSE rpm as I type.
