I was rereading Zinn and paraphrasing, but basically he said that they were dockworkers I think who were protesting losing their jobs to British navy men who were stationed there.

I was just thinking how they had so much less to be pissed about then we do now...

They just substituted a group of rich white people for another group of rich white people and used the peasants to do the dirty work (like always)...
