I need some help, I just got a new computer on Sunday and

I added some OCR software to it. It's OmniPage 16. The problem is that I just want to take a document that is a pdf, convert it to Microsoft Word, edit it, and send back to the printer to be printed with the editions. I can't seem to do this and this OmniPage 16 has all the bells and whistles on it.

I need some help fast. I'm doing some work for a friend and he needs this stuff ASAP.

1. Well what happens when you OCR the PDF?

Does Omni page have a file OCR option? Or just a scanned image OCR option? I don't know honestly because i am used to commercial OCR software. Usually they work thus:


1 Scan the file<s> and select an output method. i.e file type and location
2 Make changes in the new format
3 produce new document to new format or keep PDF
4 print
5 Scan and email.
