Animated .gif question
Edited on Mon Jun-09-08 12:43 AM by 48percenter
Can anyone tell me why animated .gif files look awful when they are uploaded to a photosite like Photobucket? It seems like they are slowed way down and they look really goofy, the graphics are messed up, speed i off.

Here's a bad on as an example:

This is supposed to b a pillow fight, but the timing is goofy. I have a few more that come out weird like this.

I don't know anything about .gif files. If you do, can you give a short explanation? Many thanks in advance.

1. It looks like a really fast pillow fight to me.
Looks like that's the way its supposed to work. Is it supposed to be kinda slow? I would think what I'm seeing is about right.

2. It looks like frames are superimposing

It seems to leave behind old frames underneath new ones.

I don't make animated Gifs, but could they be set to not delete the previous frames??

on there, it was really fast, all of the smilies were zipping along. Then when I cribbed them and uploaded to Photobucket they look awful. :(

4. LOL, okay, so what can you do about it?
I have all my smilies on Photobucket, should I upload them directly to a file with my webhost? I don't understand why they are doing this?

Mine do the same thing that yours do (except for the babe with the front porch) they all look a frame behind or like the previous frames aren't fading.

This one is especially awful:

And a blankie carrying smilie, unrecognizable:

Panic!
