Could someone check the Google blog search for me?
For some reason today, when I go to the Google News page and then choose the "blog search" on the right near the top....I get a pop up saying Internet Explorer can not open this site. Since I search there every day....it makes no sense.

http://news.google.com/nwshp?ned=us

Go to the link above and choose blog search and let me know if it is just me.

Thanks much.

2. That's what I have. Hmm..
I wonder if some setting has changed just today? I checked my IE internet settings and all is the same as before.

If it were a program setting, it would say more than that. Odd.

3. I take that back....
It is now NOT working. It worked the first time i clicked it, now it fails every time.

"Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site." "Operation Aborted"

is the message I am getting. This tells me that it is some sort of error reading cookies.

6. The odd thing is...
The link: http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=en usually gives an error, but if i replace the "en" with "us" or "aa" it usually works....

http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=us

I can save your link with the changes and use that to get there.

5. Turned on my computer with XP just now.....could access it just fine.
Meanwhile back on Vista....I get the popup that IE can't access it.

Is there a setting in Vista we could check? I have not had it long enough to know details.

12. Seems to be intermittent now.
Sometimes I can get there...sometimes I can't. Don't know why.

Yahoo used to have a blog search, but can't find it now.

13. It won't be as comprehensive as Google
but Technorati does real-time blog indexing:

http://www.technorati.com/

It's something to get you by in those times Google is inaccessible.

14. Thanks, I had forgotten that site. Just sent a message to Google.
Seems to be a permanent situation today...can't use the blog search at all. Ask Jeeves has one, I will try that as well.
