Hotmail problems
I have a friend who is getting nervous about his hotmail archives. Can anybody post simple instructions for him to move his saved mails to disc?

Thanks, I know how to do Outlook Express but doubt they are the same.

1. If he has Outlook
he can set up hotmail as an account, then move the emails into an Outlook folder.

2. I didn't think you could use Outlook for Hotmail
At least not easily - I know I messed a bunch of things up trying to get my husbands hotmail to go through OE.

3. Maybe it was the version of OE
I remember it being a piece of cake. Just create a new http mail account and follow the wizard.

4. Not with a free account anymore...
You have to pay for it now, they are disabling that feature for free accounts, though I don't know the exact timeframe, it already happened to me, when I tried to setup an account through OE a few months ago.

5. Can I kick this back up?
Surely there is some way to transfer stored mail? Also is anybody here having problems with hotmail?

6. This is how you could do it ...
From what people are saying, I don't know if this continues to work with the free accounts.

If this still works and if these are archived messages, you *might* have to moved them into the INBOX folder and mark them as unread to get them downloaded.
